Fireworks in Seekonk
We went to setup a fireworks show in Seekonk, private affair at a very posh golf club. We were the first folks on-site, and made some Caddyshack references as we gazed out upon the greensward and sand-pit assigned to us. We grabbed hammers, got stuff done in record time. Fusees (flares) were lit, and much glorious blamming ensued. Then the finalle was fired.
This is when everything went wrong...

Stew nearly challenged the locals to a game of 'upper-class twit' when they started to play through. c'mon, it's a good monty python reference. 06/30/2007

Muse made one of many Caddyshack references, in rather poor taste. Please note that his car is worth less than the insurance premium on most of the other cars in the lot. 06/30/2007

trudging off to scout the site. Please note the freaky 'lion, the witch & the wardrobe' lamp that they'd stuck out there. It's the middle of the frigging practice range... 06/30/2007

view down the center of the columns, racks were angled away from the viewing area (and camera). we had wind blowing towards the viewing area, and the parking lot behind. These folks don't appreciate hot cinders falling on their Porsches and Alfas. 07/01/2007

While the rest of us were running around like chickens with their heads cut off, Pat makes the call and mashes all the remaining firing squibs and sets of the rest of the racks. This is not a callous attempt to burn us all alive, it's known as 'the show must go on'. 07/01/2007

remains of the 6" finale rack. two of the tubes were blown open like a cartoon shotgun when Daffy puts his finger in the barrel. 2x4" shrapnel made it most of the way to the safety fence. 07/01/2007
